Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Public Service experience for a minimum of 1 year. Candidates that have HR experience and have worked in a formal office environment will be given priority.

Technical Knowledge: Candidates will have an understanding of HR employee records, and the PERSAL System (Personnel and Salary Administration System).

Skills: The applicant must possess a strong command of English, be computer literate, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. The applicant must also be able to manage HR databases.

The Human Resource Clerk will carry out numerous HR administrative functions in assisting the HR team in the flow of everyday functions. Major functions are:

HR Administration and Record Keeping: Ensuring that all employee records are complete and all departmental guidelines are follows for record keeping.

Shortlisting and Interview Assistance: Helping with the recruitment process by providing candidate shortlists, interview scheduling, and keeping track of recruitment process documentation.

Staff File Maintenance: Creating and maintaining staff files by adding, updating, and deleting records and ensuring that all staff information is current.

Capturing and Reporting on Leave: Keeping leave records, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed, and reporting on all requirements.

Employee Support and HR Queries: Being the initial and primary handler of HR-related questions and providing staff support and assistance.

This position requires someone who is organized, professional, and able to multitask, while also being detail-oriented, and maintaining confidentiality.
