Key Responsibilities:
- Protect company property and facilities
- Monitor and patrol the company premises
- Identify and mitigate potential security threats
- Manage access control and inspect personnel and cargo
- Maintain logs for incidents, reports and violations
- Manage interactions with police and other relevant authorities, if required
- Engage with clients, and other relevant parties, to support a safe working environment
Minimum Requirements:
- Registered at PSIRA (the vacancy cannot be filled if the candidate is not registered)
- No prior experience needed for entry level positions
- Grade C is required
- Own transport and cellphone (depending on the position)
- Strong communication and people skills
- Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic
- Availability to work overtime, including weekends and public holidays
Desired Requirements:
These requirements are not essential to the position, however, if you possess them, it may improve your chance to be considered for the position or the level at which you may be appointed.Experience in security and related areas
Training for first aid and fire safety
Skills in leadership and personnel management
Ability to use a computer
Driver’s license (must be valid)
Possesses a gun with a license, qualifications, and skills
Working Conditions
Work in a variety of sectors and in a variety of settings Departments
Work on a rotating schedule, which includes weekends and public holidays
May be required to perform physical activities and patrols
A healthy balance between work and personal life is encouraged
Compensation and Benefits
Salary is competitive, and offered on a monthly basis.
Benefits (health insurance and pension plans) are offered depending on the level and nature of the position.
Higher-level positions are eligible for bonuses and commissions for meeting determined security goals.
Salary is offered based on the level of experience and on the grade of the position.

Within the organization, there is a possibility of advancement and increased responsibilities.
Further training will be provided to enhance your credential and certifications.
Training and Support
Training provided will vary on the location and position with the organization.
Support to receive necessary certifications for Security, First Aid, and Fire Safety, when applicable to the role.
Support to identify and work towards your desired level of achievement.

All candidates who are selected must be prepared to complete a security clearanc. This role is open to all levels of qualification and grading, from entry level (Grade C) to certified security officers.
